Help with cooking veggies?

I just buy a big bag of veggies that are frozen and cook them with whatever...But my problem is that whenever I cook them I cook them to where they get mushy. Any suggestions on how I can cook them to where they are still kinda crunchy, or at least not mushy? Also I usually cook them on the stove with a little bit of water in the pan and just simmer them basically. Any suggestions?

With frozen veggies I have found you really only need to thaw them. What I usually do is put the veggies in a bowl and pour some boiling water over them and let them sit until thawed/warm. If adding to a cooked dish I usually add them last, right before turning off the heat.0

I steam my veggies and drizzle walnut oil over them.0
