Hello Everyone!!
I need some ideas for snacks? I'm getting tired of the veggies with dip or with hummus in the afternoon.
I usually bring a hard boiled egg or deli meat with a banana for my morning snack, but looking for some healthy ideas for the afternoon. Thanks so much!! :)

One of my favorite snacks is cashews, I usually add raisins and sometimes almonds!

-Savory oatmeal (oatmeal with mushrooms, garlic powder and whatever other veggies you're in the mood for)
-Laughing cow cheese with fruit, vegetables or crackers
    -Nuts
-Cooked apple with cinnamon (it tastes indulgent)
-Sugar free jello or jello pudding
    -Peanut butter and banana

I'll post more as I think of them :)
  • Thanks for the quick reply and great ideas!!

My favorite afternoon snack is grapes, a cheese stick and a serving of nuts. SO good!

Oatmeal with mushrooms, garlic powder and veggies??? That don't even sound good!
  • Special K cracker crisps (30 for like 110-ish cals) dipped in hummus, salsa, 5-layer bean dip, or guacamole; Special K whole wheat crackers (24 for about 120-ish cals) and Laughing Cow cheese wheels, grapes, strawberries, green apple wedges with Cool Whip, lettuce wraps, hmmm.... *think for a sec*.........
  • Special K Multi Grain Crackers, 24 crackers in 1 serving
    WW yogurt
    Cheese wedges
Cereal, like frosted mini wheat or honey nut shredded wheat
    Wheat thin stix
    Pringles stix, only 90 calories
  • ....and Greek yogurt! :D
  • Cheese sticks are great & Hard boiled eggs are great! Also 1/2 sandwiches, pieces of fruit, vegetables, & air popped pop corn :)
  • And ofcourse... Greek yogurt :D My favorites are Fage 2% & Chobani 0%!
  • Have you tried the mini rice cakes? they come in different flavors. I like the cheddar and caramel. you can have 7 cakes for only 40 calories I believe it is.

Wow! 57lbs, really? Wow! Good for you!

Snacks - Oatcakes (they're Scottish, so don;t know if you can get 'em).

Dr Karg crackers with pumpkin seeds and emmenthal cheese.

A nice crispy apple - your favourite kind.

A plain youghurt with some dessicated (dried) coconut sprinkled on top.
  • Thanks everyone for the good suggestions! I will be sure to pick some of that stuff up to try. Its always good to swtich things up so you don't get bored of it! :)
