The original Batman Cave isn't good enough now that there's a new and improved Batman Cave! And my five year old will not let me forget it ;-)

    I'll take the old one off your hands.... unless one can never have too many Batcaves

    That's the thing, I'd love to have him donate it, but it's not happening! We did just get rid of more than 1/2 his toys, and had two boxes of toys lost in the move, though. So he can keep it ;)

    I really need to go through my boys' toys and get rid of/consign some stuff.... funny thing is every time I think there's something I'll be able to give away cause they haven't played with it in ages, they are playing with it the next day! :noway:

    We had a toy room (third bedroom) at the old house. This house doesn't have the room. We got rid of a giant art desk, the kitchen set (including food, cash register, shopping carts, etc), & tons of miscellaneous toys...

    He doesn't even know what all is gone. But he's doing OK with it. I do feel bad, though.

    We had to a similar thing when we moved from Georgia to Oklahoma. We were only taking one Uhaul truck, the biggest they had and everything had to fit. We sold their trampoline and donated their huge fort in the backyard to a local church. They were super sad about that one. To reduce their toys, I let them have a garage sale and they got to keep the money they made. They reduced the toy load by half at least.

    As a side note, I always make my children cycle out their toys before birthdays and Christmas. That is, toys they haven't played with in awhile or have no interest in anymore so they can make room for new stuff. Perhaps you could make it a routine thing along those lines for the future.

    I sold this to some parents the other day. It looks so cool! I may have to get one for myself.... ok or my nephew. What are the age restriction on that thing?

    I got the original one for my son this year for Christmas, the newer one is supposed to quite flimsy so save your money & keep the first one.

    It does look like fun. They have various little extras to go with that set too.

    My sons asked me at least 20 times, "Why isn't there any batman lego sets Mom? Why?".
