Hey everyone. A friend of mine ordered zumba offline (3 pay option) and I was curious as to does it actually work? I would love to hear from some people that use it. I told her I would do this with her and I want to be sure I'm not just wasting my time! Also, has anyone used the three pay option before? because they didn't tell her when they would take the money out her account. Thanks!

I take zumba classes and i also have the zumba video game for wii. I love zumba. Its a great cardio workout and i have so much fun doing it. The fitness person that i work with through my job says its equal to high impact arobics... as far as logging it in your daily exercises. I feel like i can get a great workout doing zumba and its fun! You cant beat that! Some of the moves can be hard to get but as long as your moving and trying your still burning calories! Have fun with it!

I have never done Zumba myself but my mother does it at Curves and she loves it. I actually saw her jog a little when we were at my cousins wedding. My mother has never "jogged" and she has had 2 knee surgeries. Her doctor says it has helped her lungs and heart out tremendously and she is 61. Plus she looks fantastic I am thinking of buying it for the Wii.
  • I take Zumba too and love it. Can someone tell me how they enter this In the cardio exercise section though. Thanks
  • My college offers free Zumba classes and they're absolutely AMAZING! So much fun! I'm really loving it; I highly recommend it!

LOVE Zumba!! I take 2 classes a week and use the DVD's the other four days I work out. I've lost 2 lbs and several inches in a couple of weeks and couldn't be happier. I'm pretty sure Zumba's going to take me all the way to goal!

If you're like me and don't have a heart rate monitor, I usually log it as "aerobics, general" or "aerobics, high impact" depending on how vigorously I work out to the cardio portion. For the toning, I use "circuit training, general".

any exercise works, the most important to keep in mind in 'FORM FORM FORM" if you keep your form, you will burn as you're supposed it. Most people are under the impression that if you sweat you're going to lose weight and that is not the case, its a combination of exercise and nutrition. Will you be in better cardio shape after doing Zumba? Yes. Will you lose weight? It's all up to you, your mindset during the workout and your nutrition. I'm not an expert, this is just my personal opinion.

Does anyone knows where I can preview the workouts dvds? A lot of people take Zumba classes and I have seen Zumba classes online, but I want to see what the dvds have to offer.

I have just purchased a Zumba set and looking forward to having this at home. I currently do Zumba at the gym but would like a bit more freedom with timing. Maybe consider doing a few casual classes before committing to purchasing

  • Thanks -- I have been entering it as dancing, aerobic, ballet or modern, twist. I just wanted to be sure I was on the right track

You can see what they look like on youtube just type in zumba dvds
  • My uncle swears by it and has lost 80 pounds by watching what he eats and Zumba as his only form of exercise. I tried a couple of his DVDs and absolutely hated it. To each his own, but I'll pass on that one.

to enter the calories- your best bet is a Heart Rate monitor- I burn about 600-700 cal each 1hour class. I have no idea about the dvd or game. Every instructor is unique though and if your BMR is different - that can change things too!

Thanks. They are showing what the infomercial shows. I was wanting to see a clip of each workout away from the infomercial. A lot of people tend to post workouts on youtube. I guess there aren't any, besides the infomercial clips, due to copyright.

Some companies let you preview their workouts on their site. I guess the Zumba site don't have that option. I'm a type of person, I like to preview before I buy new.
  • Use the Zumba calculator to know how many calories you have burned!

It's the only cardio workout that I actually look forward to with gusto!
I was gifted Zumba Wii...it's a tremendous workout. I love it 'cause I can really let lose w/no one watching. 600 - 800 calories burned, easy...wearing an HRM also helps me to turn it up !
  • i typed in zumba fitness on youtube and it gave me several videos, they are all 4-5 minutes long, and then there is a good zumba live video too.

  • Zumba is awesome! I do it all the time, I have the DVD's and sometimes I go to a live class too. It is a great aerobic exercise because it is fun and it teaches you fun dance moves, you can do it in the privacy of your home too! Good luck, have fun!

Are you talking about videos of the Zumba dvds or videos of people doing Zumba at their house?

I wonder, do they have a "satisfaction guarantee", so you could buy them, if you don't like them, return it?
  • they are videos of actual zumba instructors on the videos you purchase! there are quite a few of people just doing the workout to but i prefer the real thing
