strong abs under fat?

I have some fat on my ab region (okay...probably a lot), but I feel like my abs are strong too. Is it possible to have a six pack or whatever under the fat? Is there really any way of knowing?

(Now, I know my abs could be stronger, but I just had my third c-section 3.5 months ago. )

You can defintiely have a "six pack" under the layer of fat that you have, but you won't see it until that layer of fat is burned off by cardio.

I just saw 3 c-sections? and only 3 mos ago?..wow, that's some serious accomplishment, I have 8 kids, and all natural, don't think I could survive a c-section. I wouldn't rush that belly away too soon, u don't want to hurt yourself.

Anyone that's overweight probably has nice abs underneath! I know I do. It's alot to carry around that extra bit.

LOL It's too bad I am addicted to exercise, so I push myself a lot. I know if I start feeling bad that I need to slow it down though.

You can definately have a 6-pack (or at least strong abs) under a layer of fat! Expecially if you do abs exercises. In fact, I've heard fitness experts say this...unfortunately, you have to do a bunch of cardio to lose that extra fat to reveal sculpted abs.
I've always been able to do a ton of stomach crunches...but I've also had excess belly fat for quite awhile. So I'm hoping if I keep my abs strong, they'll be sculpted when I get that flat tummy I'm working towards!
