That ONE person you can't ever find a gift for

Who is that ONE person on your list that no matter what, you can't ever think or find a good gift for?
Mine is the fiance's aunt. She's in her mid-late 40's, loves Harry Potter and her dogs, lives with her girlfriend of several years.. and is one of those people that if they want something they will go get it. What the heck do I get her and her girlfriend besides some girly bath set? (done that like 6 years now, I think I should switch it up a little! )
Come on, share that ONE person you are stuck on... let's see if we can bounce gift ideas around.

My husband.... he always wants expensive things or nothing at all. Its annoying. I saved up all year and spent like $300 on his present this year (he got socks last year...so you can tell...hard to shop for). Next year it will probably be back down to socks...lol
As for his aunt.... Here are some ideas....
A sex toy basket from fascinations (LOL...what you said you wanted to mix it up
How about something to do with Harry Potter, like matching T-shirts, or cups etc?
Its lame, but there is always gift cards (*shudder* I had resorting to that...shame), but instead of just like a store gift card, make it to a restaurant or somewhere they can go out together. I would go for something like Chilis, or Abblebees (where you can eat for 2 under $20 but its still a nice atmosphere).
A movie basket...put a $5 blockbuster gift card in with some popcorn, soda, movie style candies (like red hots or whatever you think they will like). Makes a fun little "movie night" basket.
Good luck!0 -
My older brother. We barely speak to each other anymore, and I usually only see him at larger family events and he is very hard to shop for. Last year I did an olive garden gift card and this year its target. I've tried the personal gifts before but I get the same responses either way. I know he never puts much thought into what he gets my little brother or myself.
Maybe you could get them a certificate for free massages? Or maybe if they are active dance lessons?0 -
My fiance. No freaking clue what to get him. He wants NOTHING. If he ever wants something, he goes and gets it. He spends so much on my gifts, he gets them early and usually with me right next to him so he "knows" if I like it or not. If he didn't put so much thought and money into my gifts, it wouldn't matter, but he does. It irks me that he says he wants nothing, and more then likely its the honest truth. He makes no fuss about going out to spend on whatever he wants or needs.0

My husband is hard too, he is also one who only wants something expensive that he knows I don't have the money for, so he helpfully gives me no suggestions at all!
I keep threatening that he will only get undies for Christmas if he doesn't give me a better idea... so it will be undies again this year!0 -
My guy's mother. She is a "girly girl" and I am soooo not! Thank goodness we agreed on only exchanging stockings this year! That I can handle. Found a handbag hanger thing.... you hang it off the edge of a table and hang your purse on it...no more putting the purse on the back of the chair, on your lap, or on the ground under the table. Got some little holiday themed kleenex packets, nail files, light up pen, gingerbread hand lotion, little sewing kit, Godiva chocolates, mini tide stain pen, and pink sock/slippers.0

My fiance's parents. His mom is harder to buy for than his father. I got his mom edible arrangements last year. However, his large family including his 20 something nieces and nephews were eating it all so I won't be doing that again. You can always go for her likes such as the Harry Potter stuff. Sometimes it can get tiresome but hey it's the thought that counts.
Does she like to read other than Harry Potter? Maybe get her a good book?0 -

Stocking exchanges, I've never thought to do that with adults. Good idea.0 -
My father is very hard to get a gift for.
I have sent him bottles of wine from our local winery(he lives out of state)
Purchased frames with childhood photos inside
Home baked goods are always nice
Ideas for you:
First aid/survival kit that comes in a water bottle
centerpiece for table
snuggie?
scarves are popular this year0 -
Whenever I come across people that are hard to shop for or don't really need anything, I go with this: http://www.donorschoose.org/. They can take the gift card and gift it to any classroom that inspires them. It's really a bit of fun to go through the projects and it feels good to support one that means something personally to you.
If they do more than $50, they will get personal letters from the kids they have helped. It's fantastic! Highly recommend it!0 -

We might be engaged to the same man! I have this problem every year. He was getting a new camera which I thought he didn't even want - he brought one home a week ago.:mad:0
