    Good for her! But the excess skin is going to be a *****! Thats one thing I'm not looking forward too!

    I guess they have to do cosmetic surgery to tighten it all up. I had a friend that lost 150 lbs and she said that was the worst! Unfortuantely insurance doesn't cover that either.

    In my opinion, I think insurance should cover it as a reward to those who have made healthy changes in their lives! If this young woman had lived 30 more years with the health issues she had, it would have been more of a cost to the insurance company. But instead, she is now living a healthy lifestyle which means less cost for the insurance company. I'm sure the cost of the surgery is MUCH less than her being obese for the rest of her life.

    Just my two cents. :)

    I think you are right - it will cost them much less doing that than paying for the care later (or even now).. Maybe a good topic for the debateable debating page :)

    I just saw the video(and heard of the story yesterday from my Mom) and it's absolutely crazy what the human body can do if we push it.

    Just seeing her hold up the pants at the end of the segment was enough to make me keep going.. even if I don't want to!
