Season's Eatings

We all know that Christmas time is hard to stay on the health bandwagon with all the tasty homemade treats.

Here are some tips, so that you can still enjoy them.

Eggnog... I use it as coffee creamer so I still get a little taste, but there are less calories overall and it goes farther.
Cookies... stick to 1 homemade cookie. Don't fall for the store cookies with the icing. Personally I think the frosted store cookies taste bad as far as cookies go. Or if you have to have store cookies, choose 1 or 2 plain oreos. They are only 70 calories each.

Don't totally deprive yourself, if I do that then I usually binge. Just allow yourself 1 really good treat and count it.

My biggest tip that has been working, I have been exercising first thing in the morning. Even 10 minutes helps my mindset and give me a positive healthy outlook for the day!

Share some of your holiday tips! Merry Christmas everybody! :)

Good thread and tips. I'm not looking forward to my in-laws get together (we all stay at a water park hotel for 2 nights) as it's a major eat-fest. However, this year I will be happy to go in the water park and burn some calories walking up the stairs for the water slides :)
