I love eating back the calories I burned. It makes it much easier for me to maintain the calorie deficit that MFP recommends.
I'm enjoying some carne asada and bean salad now, and am a happy camper.
Oh, the positive effects on my physiology are cool too.
The stress relief I get helps too.

I feel like I unwind after a long day! It relieves my stress and makes me feel better about myself. I used to hate exercising, now I miss it if I skip a day!0

Are you sure you're not me?
I love exercise calories, I'll have to earn a bunch for the next couple of weeks...0 -
Extra food is awesome! Sometimes I read the threads about people who work out for half the day and burn about 8,000 calories and I'm jealous because that would be several blizzards and that would make me happy0

When I sweat so much it's dripping off my chin, I'm a much HAPPIER person the rest of the day. AND the exercise calories, of COURSE!!0

In no particular order:
1) It relieves stress and improves my mood.
2) I sleep better.
3) I like feeling stronger and more powerful.
As a bunch of people pointed out above, it also gives you "more" calories, but it also makes me WAY more hungry, so it's more-or-less a wash for me.0 -
i have problems controlling my anger/stress. Working out=100% less neck punching.0

Definitely a stress reliever for me. I can work out all my thoughts/ BS on the weights/elliptical/etc...
Also helps me sleep (I suffer from insomnia, which is awesome).
Gives me an excuse to blare some obnoxious metal music and wake my family up. LOL0 -
I love to really see what my body can do.
- How long can I run?
- How fast can I ride 4 miles?
- Can I leg press more than 190?
I also enjoy feeling sore. It let's me know that I really used my body/muscles.
I love getting out of the house and having some "me time".
I like this new body that is being formed.0 -
It gives me something to chatter about around the water cooler.
I'm getting all fit and buff.

1) ENDORPHINS! As someone who has battled depression since I was a preteen, I am a HUGE fan of endorphins!
2) Muscles! I love my muscles. They rock and will continue to get better!
3) Chocolate... and tortilla chips... and peanut butter with a spoon straight from the jar.0 -

It stops me thinking about Air Traffic or any other life stuff for a few hours so I have nice clear thinking time, its great for my body in terms of inner health, mental health and my physical looks and well, means I can eat more tasty scran!0

I'm not a fan of "during" but like the cowboy who bought his boots too small because it feels so good to take them off, it feels good to stop!
I DO like that my knees don't hurt constantly anymore since I've been cycling on the stationary bike, and that my constant back hurts less (treadmill or elliptical?), though my feet hurt more than ever! I'm sure that will change, too!0 -
It is finally fun for me!! I like it!0

I love it because I like seeing muscle tone on my body and I like feeling strong. Plus I sleep like a freaking baby the night after a good workout. :laugh:0
