I joined myfitnesspal because I was not losing any weight by just going to the gym. Imagine that! I joined on Sunday and am already seeing some results.
My name is Vicki.
I am wondering what kind of inital results others saw during their first week using myfitnesspal.
I am so excited about this website. I have already told a friend who signed up this a.m. so we can do this together.
Can't wait to get to know everyone.

welcome i just joined today as well and so far its great i hope it goes well for you too.
  • I lost two lbs my first week and I was gone all weekend at a retreat so the food was not great and there was a ton of junk food around. Also not much time to work out even though I did get some walking in. This website is really helping me keep track of eating and how I REALLY need to try and fit in more excercise!!!!

    Hey! Welcome to you!

Well, when I first started to count calories and do this, I lost like 6 lbs in the first week...and then it went to anywhere from 2-4 lbs a week (averaging 3) for awhile...(I was quite a bit heavier) and then as I got closer (and into) a healthier weight..it slowed down to anywhere from .5 a lb to 2 lbs a week.

This is a great site though and I am convinced that eating sensibly and being aware of the food you eat (by counting calories) + exercise..is the way to do this once and for all. You don't need to deprive yourself of certain foods. Just eat less of them!!

    Good luck!! :flowerforyou:
