Normally when I get a sub at subway, I have them scoop the extra bread out of the roll, I mean it really is a lot of bread considering your lucky if they slap six slices of meat on it!! My question is, How many calories are saved by doing this? I mean it looks like darn near half the roll, Ive heard it can save as much as 100 calories on a foot long or more.. Does anyone have any idea if this is true??

it definitely saves calories. The only way to know for sure how much would be to find out what the bread is supposed to weigh from their website and then weigh your bread after it is scooped0

Or get the bread calorie count. Another method is to buy the footlong, take the contents of 1/2 and bunch it into the other 1/2. You end up eating only 1/2 the bread.0
