Emotional Eating

I am a chronic emotional eater and at this time in my life it is taking everything in my body to not grab a box of Famous Amos cookies and munch away. Any suggestions for what to do as opposed to snacking or maybe some yummy, healthy, low calorie, emotional eating snacks???

You have to find better ways to fill your time. Easier said than done, I know. Reading, walking, watching a movie, manicure, call a friend. Just don't eat to fill a void if you can help it. But if you just have to have something, popcorn, baby carrots, almonds (watch your portion), yogurt are a few good snacks.0

Sometimes I find that when I'm upset and going to grab a pint of ice cream, if I chew on some gum for awhile it helps... The chewing kind of tricks my brain into thinking I'm eating I think? I don't know but that's an idea if you want to try it!0
