Can I workout everyday?

I have a question. Working out in the morning wakes me up. I do INSANITY.
Preferably, I would like to do it everyday. But everywhere I read, it tells me to give the body a break and have a rest day.
What if I just workout everyday because I genuinely like it? Still NO?
Also, on that rest day, I cannot eat as much as I normally can (no extra calories from workout). So I feel a bit restricted. =/
Let me know what's the right way to approach this matter.

If I had the drive to work out every day like you are, I would totally do it. I'm no expert here though so we'll wait to see what others responses are!0

If you're feeling good, go for it. If you feel like you need to rest for a day at some point, go ahead and do that too. Listen to your body.0

Diet, excersize, and rest. If you feel you are getting enough of each, go for it.0

The only thing I can think of is that doing the same exercises every day, your body will get used to them and you won't really benefit much after a while. Try switching it up; don't be afraid to take a day off- try doing a day of arms then a day of legs so you aren't working the same body part every day (it will give your muscles time to rejuvenate and avoid injury).0

If you're able to work out every day for weeks without a break, you probably need to ask yourself how hard you're really working.0

I would definately work out every day!!!!... I would just give my body a rest from things like weight training. But I think cardio like running is fine every day.0

I work out just about every day, but I don't do everything every single day, if I can possibly help it.0

Insanity is set up for 5 intense days, the recovery workout and then 1 day of rest. If you like to exercise, do something besides Insanity like treadmill, eliptical etc. The only thing i will say about working out every day is alot of people burn out if they do it everyday for too long, but if you still enjoy it, go for it.0

Thanks for the input everyone.
For INSANITY, I work very hard on it. Every time I finish, I'm completely washed out and sweat just drip from the chin and hair down to the floor. That feeling of accomplishment ..... AWESOME.
That's why I want to keep doing it. But I agree on the injury part so probably I'll take one rest day FROM INSANITY but NOT from workout. I have some resistance bands at home so probably I'll work on some resistance training instead.
Thanks a lot everyone for clarifications. This week I start work 1hr late and hence I actually have more time to workout. That's why I want to do whole week instead of 6 days. Next week, I'll work 1hr earlier, meaning I might need to skip some days. Oh well. I try.0 -

This.
You should be limiting your weight training exercise to 45-60 minutes per session. Your body simply doesn't have enough stored glycogen to fend off catabolism after general time frame. If you're able to workout 6 days a week for hours on end, you need to reevaluate your form and intensity.
Focus entirely on the muscle being trained until it fails repeatedly. You also shouldn't be allowing yourself generous periods of rest between each set. Bring the heat and come correct.0 -
I have been working out every day and loving it *but* I am only a couple weeks into this so I very well could burn out later.
Weekdays I actually work out twice a day and do a 30-60 minute workout each time depending on the day. It's all Cardio though. On weekends I only do the one workout first thing in the morning and spend the rest of the day with my family. I don't see a need for a day off right now since I'm enjoying it so much. It gives me so much more energy throughout my day and I like being able to earn more calories so I can eat more later. 0
