Seriously am I the only who exercise so can eat more.
I see all these post by people who do eat their exercise calories because they are not hungry.
Am I the only one who works out harder so I can have more at dinner or a snack??
Plus when I exercise, I am hungrier.

you'll never see me complain about having too many calories left over. When i lift, i'm so hungry i could eat a bear! It just means your metabolism is picking up!

That`s definitely me! If I know I`m going out --- I work a little harder during the day to make up for it.
Although, currently I think my knee is having some issues --- so I`ve been taking a few days off.0 -

I just read all these post by people who are complaining about having to eat exercise calories or their bodies are not hungry.
Man I love to eat and when I exercise, I am attacking food(within reason).
I have never had the problem of not being hungry when I exercise, I do not get it.0 -
Count me in on this as well! I recently started lifting heavy weights and one day I seriously felt like I would never get my hunger satisfied! More food is the exact carrot/motivation I need to get my workouts in!0

I just started this excercise thing this week and found out yesterday that I get a raise in calories when I excercise. Cool! Problem is... I need to excercise in the morning though instead of at night before I go to bed. I am not hungry this late at night. I already get up at 5:30AM to feed the horses, cats, dogs, fish, and get to work...an hour away!0

Hell yeah! Nothing wrong with boosting your metabolism by eating back those healthy exercise calories, too. It works!!0

I always find I'm not super hungry on the days I burn a lot from exercising...but the next I'm starving!! So it usually balances out0

You can eat the calories before you actually do the exercise. Just anticipate what you will be doing that day and you should have an idea of how much extra you can eat through the day.
OP - I'm with you. I will never get those who say they can't eat them. I understand that sometimes you can't eat all of them, if I do a two hour bike ride, its hard to add an additional 1000 calories to my diet, but I can easily eat back most of my running/weight lifting cals.0 -

Same here. I've gotten better at staying under my 1200 cal goal if I need to but its better to work out & have those extra cals. I definitely eat to have extra cals for food.0 -
Ran 5 miles this morning because I knew I was going to one of my favorite restaurants tonight. I wanted to have plenty of calories left for dinner!0

Sometimes I do find it hard to eat back all my calories though - like my goal is set to 1200, and such as today I earned 1300 in exercise, so that IS hard to eat back! I guess it balances out on rest days etc, but I'm with you on enjoying the eating factor. Doing the exercise makes you feel like you've earned every mouthful, and I also find I don't feel guilty if I have something sweet, or that I fancy as I know I've worked for it - so I don't even call it cheating0

The reason why I started working out (running) was so I can eat more. But I went so far that it turned into a lifestyle change. If my friends ask me to go out and drink, I make sure I work out that day0

You're not nuts! I'm freakin' starving the days I exercise. So I eat quite a bit of my exercise cals back.0

Guillty as charged! However, I like to think of it the other way round. I eat my exercise calories so I can fuel my next workout and build lean muscle so the next time I can work out harder and faster and get fitter :flowerforyou:0

I have days when I have run 10-12 miles and had to eat 3200 calories +/- and I was still under by a good bit. As hard as i have worked, I will always be a fat kid at heart. Work hard and enjoy what you are doing, if your efforts are to stick then this is a lifestyle change and not a diet. The more you exercise, the more fuel you need.... don't sweat it.0

Ok I seem to be the only one who isn't hungry after a workout. I find that when I workout I'm less hungry and had to change my goal from 1500 a day to 1200 because with my workouts the calories required were ridiculous. I workout two hours a day, six days a week and for me to eat back the calories I burned...too much. I workout because I like to and because I want to see a change in my body. With 105 lbs to lose I don't want to be left with flabby skin. My problem is not how much I eat but WHAT I eat. Going grocery shopping today and will definitely be making healthier food choices.0
