This whole week I have been really pushing the walking up to 37 miles so far and today I decided to up the pace a bit for a better burn. The problem is this afternoon after walking for 30 mins the back of my leg where the the knee meets the thigh started pinching me every time went to step up on a curb or if I turned my foot in or out as I stood for a break. When it does pinch it hurts and feels almost like my leg has grown weaker. Does anyone know what this could be and what would help it as I still have one more day of walking before the weekend. I have never felt anything like this before and have had no prior problems with my legs, knees or any other body part.

Maybe you are just overdoing it and your body is reacting badly? Can you try using a bike instead for a few days to take the pressure off the knees and legs?? I would suggest switching to something lower impact on your legs/knees until it feels better

I am not sure what it is, but in general, you better listen to your body. Pain is the signal that your body gives you to say it needs rest. I wouldn't add any more walking until it heals.
If you just pull your hamstring, you will be fine in a day or two. If you hurt a tendon, pain will not disappear in a few days and it will then be time to go see a doc...

Good luck, hope you will be better soon.

i am going to take it easy for the rest of the week and the whole weekend to see if it gets better and if not I will be taking the week to rest it as I do not need this getting any worse.
