I'm kind of naturally opposed to KFC after growing up on a farm and seeing all the hate they've generated towards farmers in general. Plus their food is terrible for you in general - not that I can eat anything there as a vegetarian anyways.0

I've heard some good things about their new grilled chicken -- another member posted some nutritional info on here (for her total meal she'd had the grilled chicken sandwich - no bun - green beans and a serving of mashed potatoes without gravy) and the values for things like fat, calories and carbs were WAY below what I'd have expected -- especially on the grilled chicken. It was more like what I'd expect from what I'd make at home. It was hard to come to terms with such decent nutritional values considering it was KFC.
Not like I'm going to start going out and having KFC every night or anything, but it's good to know that once in awhile if we're out and fast food is our only option, KFC can be an option and not totally kill my day.0 -
Calorie wise that may be true, but watch the video, all of it is still FULL of msg, which basically kills your brain. And the worst part is the chicken comes from the worst chicken farms, "you can't get healthy off a sick animal"0

KFC's policies and maltreatment of animals have, in general, led to a general backlash against farmers because people tend to generalize and figure, "If KFC does it, all farmers do it." The general public also figures that if one meat packing facility has bad practices, then all of them do. There's a reason why PETA never actually mentions what facilities they do their "snooping" in - because then the facility becomes an "everyman" and allows them to lambaste an entire industry who is mostly innocent and following guidelines.0 -
I did see the nutrition info BUT never saw a sodium content on it...I should probably take the time to look it up.KFC always looks good me but years ago I remember seeing a video of how horrid they treated the animals..and then there sparks the debate that the animals are going to die anyway...BUT the video was so disturbing...blah I guess its kinda like we want to eat it but not see how it got to the plate.....I tend to bypass it but then again I bypass most fast food places :drinker:0

Thought I'd bump this. I am not surprised at the other crap KFC puts in it's chicken. Nearly all fast food chains do that. It's gross and unhealthy, but most people don't think about it. And in reality, practically all food animals destined for fast food are unhealthy, raised in horrifying conditions, fed antibiotics and/or hormones, and destroyed inhumanely. KFC isn't any better or worse than McDonalds, Burger King, etc.
I watched a bunch of this guy's other videos. Some good stuff. (Some questionable stuff, too... but then, what isn't questionable these days?)0
