European sizes...?

I recently bought a pair of jeans that were in European sizes, and I couldn't get them zipped... Well, now I can. They're still SNUG... but I can zip them and walk around without laying down on the bed. haha... but I was wondering if anyone knew the correlation between a European size 30 and American sizes? Thanks!

    Hi
    Jeans sizes are different to those sizes listed on that site.
    I am British and i have an Italian pair of jeans that are a size 31, these fit me when i am a between a 12-14 in British sizes so that means they are size 9 American, with this i would take it that size 30 are an American size 8.

    According to The Lucky Brand Jeans' website a size 30 is equivalent to a size 10. A size 29 is a size 8 and 28 is a size 6.

    There's an option that lets you find your size and voila!

    I didn't like the fact that Helawat's calculations made my Miss Sixty jeans a UK size 16!!!! (no offence Helawat!)
    So i had a look at the Miss Sixty site and found the following. Miss Sixty sizes go on waist measurement rather than the european sizes so a 30 is American size 8 according to Miss sixty so it really must depend on the brand!

    When I was a size 3-5 it was a 26 or so. A 30 is around a size 8-10:happy:

    Plus it depends where you shop. Im a 10 in Juniors jeans:grumble: and a 6 in Womens Jeans.:tongue: Go figure
