As soon as I hit 185 my husband & I are going to try for another baby. I'll be 24lbs lighter than I was last time I got pregnant.
*sign* Can I vent please? I'm worried. Last time I was pregnant with my son & someone told me, "You don't look pregnant, you just look like one of those fat girls who pretend to be." I'm nervous that I'll just look like a fat girl with a fat belly & wont even look pregnant. I want to be one of those girls who look cute pregnant. *sigh*
I want an honest answer. Did I LOOK pregnant? Or did I just look fat?
Also, this is what I looked like BEFORE I was pregnant. Not a good picture to show my figure, but didn't take many pictures before pregnancy.

Some people lives to be ugly. You look pregnant.0

It makes me sick that anyone would ever make that comment to you. Why do some people feel the need to bring down others?0
-
Weird, who pretends to be pregnant. Sounds like they were just making something up to be mean.0

I think you looked pregnant!!!! =] Also adorable! Adorable & Pregnant. =]
I don't understand why people say things like that. It's rude and disrespectful. You're doing amazing aaaand I hope you'll post pregnancy pics again when that happens for you!!!!0 -
You don't look fat in those pictures at all. Your belly just isn't huge...maybe thats what they meant? You know how some women have very rounded protruding stomachs when they are preggo. Looking at you it's more like you were holding the baby weight well!0

You look great, and yes, it looks pregnant to me, but then again sometimes I look pregnant, and I never have been a day in my life...
Women show differently, and sometimes it doesn't show until the baby's head is ready to come out.
My supervisor at work is 5 months pregnant, and my belly is way bigger than hers is. You can't tell by looking at her, but she has always been a healthy weight. She's never been overweight as far as I can tell.
You look great, and you should be proud of your weight loss, and excited about your baby. :flowerforyou:0 -

Don't think she was trying to be nice. She also told me that since she was such an honest person that if I had an ugly baby she was going to tell me it was ugly?? Who says THAT?!0 -
I think in the first pic you were wearing non "preggie" pants (lol), so it squeezed the middle of your belly in, which could have been mistaken for "fat." However, if you'd been wearing lower cut pants or maternity pants, you'd look as pregnant as you do in the rest of the pics.
Also, subsequent pregnancies = bigger belly (usually, not always). Maybe you'll get lucky! Good luck!0 -
I think you look pregnant, but I've seen people that I wondered if they were pregnant or not. The worst is when I wasn't pregnant and someone asked, so when are you due? I wanted to say "Due to what? Kick your rude a**? I'd say about...right... now!" I know what you mean about wanting to look pregnant though, I gained weight all over with my 1st pregnancy and just looked chubby, but with my second I had this perfect little basketball out front, I loved it...0

I know how you feel. I have always wanted to look like those cute pregnant girls who are thin with a nice round ball attached to their stomachs. With my first pregnancy I gained 80lbs and looked like I was just really fat. With my 2nd I gained 45lbs and looked heavy and like "Hmmmm is she pregnant or just fat? I dunno..." With my second I only gained 16lbs, but I started out the heaviest I have ever been. I had lots of complications due to my weight.
This time around I do not want to start TTC until I am 180. Haven't been there since my first pregnancy.
You can do this! And btw...I see a baby belly0 -

This person is ugly in the inside and it showed on her outside.0 -
What a rude comment.
I trust this was not from someone among your circle of friends, or if it was, is no more.
You look great. And pregnant!0 -
You look pregnant...and CUTE at that
Don't let negative comments made by what sounds like a nasty person bring you down... I love your wedding dress by the way.0 -
u looked pregnant0

Honest opinion?! You look a bit fat + pregnant, particularly in the first picture. I think it's because your stomach isn't all the way round, so it cuts in a bit and looks a bit like a fat roll.
Not trying to be mean, but you asked.
You look pregnant in the second picture though.0 -
You looked pregnant in the picture. Don't pay any mind to mean comments. Especially now because you're making a change for yourself that's for the better!
I wish you all the best in getting pregnant with your second child.
PS: your wedding dress was beautiful!0 -
Sure... there was a baby in there!!!
Last night I was talking to one of my best friends, who happens to be a skinny girl for almost all her life and she is now pregnant (7th month) and has this round belly...
It's all about exercising before the pregnancy. That was what someone told her.
If you are exercizing (especially abs) before getting pregnant, you may have a round belly.
If not... you will just have a normal baby in a normal belly!
Don't give a s**** to whoever is saying to you so mean things... ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE PREGNANT.0 -
The only reason I could think of anyone ever wanting to fake a pregnancy is to park closer at the shopping mall. Ours had mother expecting parking that was closer then the handicap spots! lol.
It's so scary to make comments about pregnancy to strangers because that has happened to lots of people where they ask when you are expecting and then they find out you aren't and its AWKWARD!
You wanna know awkward? My uncle is an OBGYN! I moved when I got married and gained 40lbs. When I saw him again he came up to me to give me a hug and stopped and put his hand on my stomach and said "OMG, are you expecting? And you didn't tell me!?"....Yeah, I was just fat....But that gave me the motivation to lose weight!I
To this day, I think about his comment and I promised myself I will NEVER be that person again! The fat girl that looks pregnant. lol. Sometimes I secretly wished that I was pregnant so I had a reason to be fat, but I NEVER pretended to be pregnant to strangers! I tried to hide my gut as much as I could with high rise pants and baggy hoodies!
But I know what you are worried about and if you are worried about looking fat when you are pregnant, don't worry, people don't really like to ask anymore because there have been so many mistakes with Americans in the obesity epidemic. hahaha. So if no one asks you how far along you are when you get pregnant again, just bring it up so they can sigh in relief that they won't make a mistake. hahaha. I can laugh at that because it happened to me!0 -
You look pregnant to me. And you are such a beautiful girl!! Try not to let what other people say get to you so much. I know...it can be hard!! When I was pregnant people made horrible comments; they've also made comments when I was a heavier weight or smaller. I've come to conclusion that people are just going to talk....no matter what.
I'm working on it all myself. But your beautiful! Just try to blow the negative comments off!0 -
The first one you look like you could be either or both. Must've been earlier on? I felt in my pregnancy, earlier on, I looked more fat than anything. But the second one, you definitely look pregnant. Nice rounded belly ;-)
But either way, why would you listen to anyone that says something nasty like that?? Sounds like someone has their own issues, and needs to make others feel bad to feel better herself?
And who asks that?? Probably something she has done (or at least thought of doing), before for her to come up with that.
Screw rude people. You are beautiful :-)0 -
I think you looked pregnant and I think your friend is rude. It's sometimes hard to tell with people you don't know, so in your first picture, would I have ASKED when you were due if you were a total stranger....no! Because I would never want to hurt someone's feelings who wasn't pregnant. But if I were your friend and I knew what you looked like before, I think it was quite obvious you were pregnant.0
