I've been using this site for almost a year, but exclusively on my cell phone app. I've never really socialized with anyone on here before, but I think making friends and having a support network would be nice.

Well let me tell you a little about me. I'm nineteen years old, going to be twenty in February. I've been overweight all my life, and always wanted to change it, but am finally making progress and taking the steps needed to lose the extra pounds. I have a wonderful fiance that loves me just the way I am, and gives me the confidence and motivation to create a better me. I also want to decrease any health risks so once we're married, I can have healthy children that have a healthy mom.

I moved to Ohio about a year ago with my mom and fiance. I don't know many people here, but hopefully that will change. I have two dogs that I love with all my heart. :] Hm... Well I think that's a good start. Now it's your turn! Tell me about you. :]

Welcome! My name is Holly and I am 34 years old. I live in Oyster Creek, TX. My husband is also very supportive and loves me just the way I am. I have one son, Andrew, who is 18 yrs. old. He has always been the athletic type, playing football, baseball, etc. unlike his momma. I am new to MFP also. I had lapband surgery on December 8th and I have around 80 lbs. to lose. Feel free to add me as a friend. I will be here for motivation and support.

Wow! That's amazing. I considered the lap band surgery, but I have family members that have done it, and they told me at twenty, I am capable of doing it without surgery. It's a difficult process, but I hope they're right. So how is Texas this time of year? It's snowing today in Ohio.

Snow ... I wish :) Texas is sunny and cool today in the 60's. About the lap band surgery ... if I was 20 again  , it would really depend on how much I had to lose. Lap band is just another tool to help someone lose weight. You are definitely in the right place for support and motivation.

I know. My family just really wanted me to try it on my own. I had a lot of health issues as a child, and almost lost my life a few times. I think they just try to keep me out of hospitals as much as necessary. I need to lose 159 lbs. I try to explain to them that that's a lot, it's a whole person! But they just want me to keep trying. The support really pushed me to give it a go though. I added you. :]

Welcome to MFP you 2. Names Victor and i'm married to my best friend. We've been together since 95' .. She showed me the way of MFP and has done great with the site. I'm a very active person who works alot of long hours and bodyboards every chance i get .At first I decided to join a healthier lifestyle to support my wife on her journey and realized i needed to make alot of changes for myself as well.My wife said in order to experience MFP the right way you have to make friends. So she had her friends add me and they are all great! I've meet alot of good people on here . So ladies i would like to pay it forward and add you as friends to motivate me and hopefully i can motivate you back.
