Huge NSV

Options
I say huge b/c for me this is. My Mom asked me to make some Peanut Butter Cookies and some Pigs in a Blanket for her to take to a family party tonight b/c she works 3rd and wouldn't have time to make them. Well, before I started on my weight loss journey I would have ate cookie dough as I made the cookies, but I didn't, I would have ate 7 or 8 cookies but I didn't touch not one of them. I would have ate at least 4 or 5 Pigs in a Blanket but again I didn't touch not one. I am so proud of myself for this accomplishment. I reminded myself of all the hard work I had done today, and that I didn't want to blow it eating all those extra calories.

Great job, I know since I started this journey it is much easier to say no to those snacks/treats that aren't as healthy but taste so YUMMY! Tonight will be a challenge or me as I am going to my son's Christmas Orchestra Concert and there is a big pot luck afterwards. Small portions, small portions....that is what I keep telling myself! We can make through the holidays, your story is a great inspiration...you can make the food and not snack the food! :)

That is a HUGE step forward, and realising we can't do things like that any more will make maintaining our weight SO much easier. Well done, you deserve a big pat on the back!
