So I was wondering if whey Protein is a good hunger buster? I know it helps build and fuel Muscles but is is also good for fighting the hunger? I just started using it. I used it once before and it was a big help. What do you guys think?:drinker:

Casein protein is better for this, it isn't absorbed as quickly. Could be used at night for someone who has a hard time not snacking.0 -
I find if I drink it with milk as opposed to water I find it filling. Great when you need something quickly!0

Thanks you guys and I will look up casein protein. I too find it to be rather filling and it seems to satisfy any cravings I may be having!!!0

Be careful with brand of casein though, many taste absolutely horrible.
I suggest Xtreme Formulations Lemon Cream Pie :]0 -
K thanks I will look that one up too!0

Whey protein works pretty good for me, been using it for a couple of months and it works pretty ok. I use USN 100% Whey Protein that is about 140cals a scoop and makes about 350ml giving you 24g of protein.0

Not all whey proteins are the same. I'm on one that has both whey and casein in it and it's from New Zealand so the amino acids are intact. If you'd like to read some interesting articles on the subject let me know and I'll send you some links. I'm using a couple of things to curb the appetite including this and it's working like a charm!0

I'm a big fan of whey protein, as natural as you can find it (I like Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard) - mixed with soy milk and nonfat greek yogurt. It's my everyday breakfast and lasts well past noon without hunger pangs. I actually had it for breakfast and lunch yesterday because the fridge was empty of healthy alternatives and there was just no time during this holiday rush. Didn't have dinner until past 7pm, so I think that's a good indication of how fulfilling it is.0
