you sure you don't have it reversed? Last time I saw quail eggs I'm sure my chicken eggs would hold 4 of them without a probem0

1 quail egg = 14 calories
1 large chicken egg = 78 calories
What's the question here?0 -

it's a phrase. that's why i'm asking the question. they said 1 quail egg has 3 times the calories or cholesterol as a normal egg.

well i guess what i'm mostly asking is how did the phrase or rumour started...0 -

Love Nutritiondata! They go so much more in depth than just giving the cals/fat, etc. I especially love that they include the inflammatory factor! Very useful resource.0 -

well, if you compare 100grams of chicken egg to 100 grams of quail egg, it does indicate that the quail egg is slightly more calorie dense at 158 calories compared to chicken egg at 144 calories.0 -

I think you're confused because you have it backwards. It takes multiple quail eggs to equal the calories of one chicken egg
14 calories x 5.5 = 77 calories
Therefore, 5.5 quail eggs equal one chicken egg.0 -

i'm not confused here i know that the egg has more calorie than the quail. what i'm really asking is where the rumour or phrase started but it doesn't really matter. thank you for all the help0
