If it wasn't for a great friend at work, I would not know about this site. After seeing my doctor on friday....it's time I do something. I'm 57 year old Mee-Mee with 2 beautiful grandsons. I work for a medical billing company in Maine. It's a desk job so lack of exercise is a big problem...or am I making it a big problem. I want to loose about 20 lbs at this time. I'm tired of hurting all the time, out of breath trying to keep up with the boys. Hopefully there will be some good support here. Nice to meet ya'll.

It's nice to meet you, and welcome! I found MFP through searching the apps on my itouch. I love it. You can do anything you set your mind to you just have to want it bad enough to overcome old bad habits. Make a plan, make it realistic, stick to it and you'll get there. Sounds like you need an exercise program, walking is a good start. Glad you've seen your doctor. Are you using any specific diet plan? I'm doing Atkins, not for everyone, but I love it. I don't get hungry and thats big for me!
