So I know that I am loosing, but I was wondering what a good average would be to shoot for with my measurements.

I am 5' 9" and my final goal for now is 180lbs, I know thats a long way off but I am still wondering about my measurements.

I really want to know about my arms. I HATE:explode: my arms. I started out at 18", I know gross...but now I am at 16" I was wondering what an average measure of an average womans arms are. I dont know if anyone wants to share, but I have been looking and looking and can't find anything about it.

I hope to have small arms someday but I was wondering what a good average would be to feel good about. :flowerforyou:

I am fairly small but my arms measure 10 1/2.. I have been doing weights to firm them up, I want bigger. I have been working out for 2 months and had no change in the measurement but have noticed a toning up.. If you have lost 2 inches u are doing great

 Womens arms sooo different I think that the size doesn't matter as much as the muscle tone. The only way to do that is with weights! Of course losing the weight will lose inches on the arms but you need to tone as you lose!
  • I am using hand weights and do the 30 day shred video about 4xs a week. I know I have muscles but if I held my arms straight out i have that horrible ugliness under hanging down. YUCK:explode: I want most of that to go away, I know that alot of women have some but I feel like mine is really gross.

So I am looking for a good average number to shoot for. 10 inches would be alot better than where I am at! Right now I am at 16"

    wow I sound vain...lol

bummer about the skin, but that's life I guess. Not much you can do about that. You can firm a little with tricep exercises (triceps are the bigger of the two muscle groups in the upper arm, and usually the least defined, so it's relatively easy to isolate and build them), but part of it is going to be a healthy eating regimen to give your skin the vitamins and minerals it needs to restore and retain elasticity. Eventually, at your age, the skin should firm back up, but it WILL take a while (better part of 2 years most likely).

Mine are about 13" give or take. I build muscle in my arms so easily- I'm starting to look like a frickin' linebacker.:grumble:

Don't want to be a downer, but comparing your body type to anyone else's can be a slippery slope. Two people the same height and weight can have vastly different measurements. I was looking back at my high school pictures and 3 of my girlfriends and I were all within an inch of each other in height, (5'10") and probably within 15 pounds in weight. BUT, we all look sooo differerent because of where we tend to carry our weight. I'm a gut and butt gal. But it seems you're doing all the right things. Keep up the great work! You're creating a great foundation for the rest of your life!!

I know that my arms will most likly be larger that others on average. I was just wondering where a good average would be. So I am guessing somewere between 10 and 12 would be good from what I have heard.

My butt is a totally different story...I wonder if there are any exercises to give it definition. I have no butt! No matter what size I am I always have druppy drawers because I have NO butt.

Lol, I'm with you there on the NO butt! My kids tease me about it all the time. I carry all my weight in my gut and I have huge arms...right now about 14" (Im at about 186lbs).

I, too, dream of little arms and sleeveless shirts.
