Soda cake question

Hello everyone!
I just made the soda cake and Im questioning the calories. I used one box of cake mix 160 calories and the Dr. Pepper 10 for the soda, which is of course 10 calories. I input these ingredients into the recipe calculation & divided it up with the number of servings on the box which is 12. I cut the cake into 12 pieces. Total calorie count came out to 14 per serving. I thought YIKES I must have fudged this somehow but how?!
Does this sound correct?

"I used one box of cake mix 160 calories" per serving maybe? Plus .83 of a calorie? Plus eggs/serving?
14 calories for some cake seems pretty unrealistic.0 -
Is the 160 cals. for one serving of the cake mix?
Soda cake- you use a box cake mix and instead eggs ,oil and what not you add a can of soda, mix and bake.0 -

I was wondering this as well. It's probably 160 for a portion of the mix, like 1/5th of the bag or something0 -
160 is the amount per serving. The only number you would divide by 12 (for 12 servings) would be the 10 calorie soda. So each slice would be about 161 calories a serving.0

Serving size on box says 1/12 th... Obviously 14 calories seems nuts for a portion of cake. I just don't know what I did to screw up the calculation?0 -

It sounds like its 160 cals for 1/12th of the box, so 160 x 12 = 1920 + 10 for the soda = 1930. 1930 divided into 12 servings would be 160.83 so 161 cals per slice Hope that helps.0 -

Yea. Thank you. I guess if I just actually used my head for a second I would have gotten that!0
