Non Fitness question....

I have a non fitness question for you all. Would it bother you if some of your in laws claimed your husband's ex wife as a daughter in law on facebook? And not you either by the way, just them?? Or if they claim them on there as family and yet again not you? I'm just curious because I saw a few of my in laws the past day or 2 that did, and it hurt me. And it's about that time where we are going to see them for the holidays and part of me doesn't want to now...do I pretend I didn't see that or that it doesn't bother me , even though it does?

the questions I would ask are 1) how often/active are they on FB? If they put her as family while she was family and never changed it than I wouldn't consider it to mean anything. If they put her as that 2 days ago, than ok, i would be hurt. My cousin still has a BF listed from two years ago because she is never on and doesn't care.0

They have been divorced for 8 years, and we have been married for 7! And pretty much all of the in laws are on all the time. So, those things are what makes it hard for me. As far as I know, fb hasn't even been around for 8 years or longer so she certainly wasn't family when they did it. Thanks for posting!0

did the former spouses have children together, such that there is still a relationship?0

Yes they had kids together but to me that doesn't mean that she is their daughter in law. I am since I am married to him, and have been for 7 years.0

well yes it would hurt me i think
BUT if they have kids together, she may in their mind still be somewhat of a daughter to them. that shouldn't offend you bc she will always be part of their life.0 -
I would check that it wasn't a mistake. My fiance has that he is still "looking for a relationship" on facebook right below where it says that his relationship status is that he is engaged to me, because he never bothered to change it. If it was intentional, yes it would bother me. But they may be listed because while they were married the woman put them under and they clicked accept. I would say don't rush to conclusions. If they were aware then the issues seem bigger than facebook.0
