Why don't you log it as light calistetics
  • MFP has no data on that :brokenheart:

yeah. all you need to do is click on the exercise tab, then click on database and you can scroll the whole thing. So, you can pick the exercise that seems most like what you are doing.

Why don't you take the babe on power walks in the stroller? I did that when I was a nanny and it was quite nice. I lost weight and got fresh air.

I may cost a little bit of money, but you can order an inexpensive heart rate monitor online and it will tell you not only your heart rate, but all the calories you have burned over any given time. You put in all your personal info such as age, height, sex, and current weight and it will tell you how many calories you burned---not an estimate. Good luck!!!!!

I would just use your best estimate and just enjoy the good feelings you get knowing you are doing something good for yourself.... it isn't ALL about number crunching. Cheers. Lori

When I first started, before I bought and HRM, I used a few different Exercise Log options. Light calistenics and weight training when I did that part.

I would guess on a 45 min video, working so that you can talk but not sing a song, a bit of sweat on your brow, you would burn around 200 calories.

The good news, as banksy has pointed out, is that after you do the exercise your body is pumped and your metabolism revved for a while afterwards!!

When I learned not only was I burning cals for 45 min, but also burning more the entire day...........now I want to exercise!!

    :drinker: :drinker:
  • go to Exercise and type in Aerobics,general.. you should be able to enter light, moderate or intense aerobics.. that's how my daughter and i enter ours..... this program is amazing

the reebox precision xt was 29.99 from buy.com + free shipping. it has a chest strap. and it's has enuf for me.
also, you can do web searches for calories burned and get diff websites to calculate your info. you can maybe average the info.
but the hrm is the best way to go.

good job getting back started! :flowerforyou:
