So since starting Sunday afternoon my skin is on fire, SO ITCHY IT HURTS.
But if I itch, I get these swollen hive-like bumps.
I feel like I might go insane.

I took some Reactine and hope it helps.

The only thing I can think of that I'm allergic to is Christmas...

So i'm just letting all of you know...

Christmas is cancelled.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Do you have a real christmas tree in your house?
My brother does this if there is a real tree in the house, only he breaks out in the hives and then gets super itchy.

we have a fake tree :(

I am racking my brain though trying to figure out what I ate or touched on Saturday night or Sunday morning that was out of the norm.

The only thing i've come up with so far is we stayed in a hotel Saturday night and maybe i'm allergic to their laundry detergent.

Very very possible. My husband is highly allergic to certain detergents.

    Take some benadryl.

I had an allergic reaction to our fake tree. My arms itched so bad and broke out in hives I had to take benadryl and use a benadryl itch cream to get rid of it.

Rashes can be caused by stress and more people are stressed during the holiday season and such.

Try an anti-itch cream to help it.

Are you stressed out? That could bring on a hive reaction.
Try having a bath with some baking soda in it, or put some oatmeal in an old kneehigh, tie it off, and toss it into the tub with you.
    Hope you feel better soon.

    Thanks for all your suggestions!

And yes! Fesitivus for the rest of us!

The fake tree has been up since Dec 1st so I don't think it's that.
I'm not really stressed, had all my christmas shopping done weeks ago, and work has been ok, hubby and I are getting along fine.

I'm thinking the sheets at the hotel are the prime suspect at the moment.
I took Extra Strength Reactine (Actual Benadryl is a little harder to find around here)

    UPDATE

    Christmas is back on.

Had a Goats Milk bath last night and that cut the itchiness to about a third. So now it's bearable.

    Resume Christmas Festivities!
