Mornings.

What do you all do when you wake up in the morning? Do you do any stretches? Yoga? Eat breakfast then do something? Or run of to work? I am looking for something to do when I wake up, Something that doesn't take long but gets your body ready for the day. Sometimes when I wake up I don't feel particularly energised and I thought something like a good stretch might help.
What is everyone's opinion?

I drink coffee. Snuggle with kids.
When I was running in the mornings I'd roll out of bed, get ready, grab the dog and go.0 -
I wake up, take a shower, eat breakfast, play around on the internet for a bit, get dressed and head off to work0

I wake up. stretch. get the coffee going and shower.
If i have the time though i prefer to workout in the mornings, even if just a 20 minute dvd. really wakes you up and gets your brain running for the rest of the day. it doesnt have to be intense cardio, just jumping jacks and lunges and such that get you moving and get your heart rate up a bit. :happy:0 -
I get up, wish I wasn't up, sleep thru the shower, mainline some coffee, and head to work.0

Wake up, water, coffee, and off for my morning 3+ mile run. Some days are better than others but after you get into the habit you feel something is missing your day if you miss the run. Of course I'm an early riser, 4 am usually. But I have to be at work by 6:30.0

You sound just like my husband. Ha.0 -
Wake up, get the kids ready for school, get myself ready for the gym....take kids to bus stop and head to the gym, 30-35 minutes before I head to work0

I'm up at 5:30 grab a bit of fruit, get the kids ready and off to daycare by 6:30 and am at the gym by 7:00 for 60-90 min workout. If you're looking for something quick you could look at a small circuit of burpees, lunges, squats, push-ups, etc. Perhaps go out and get a skipping rope to incorporate into the circuit if you have an area suitable (garage or unfinished basement). Anything to get the blood flowing early and prep you mentally and physically for the day...don't forget to re-fuel with a healthy breakfast after your workout...0
