do you plan on sticking to your diet on christmas or eating whatever you want. I stuck to my diet on thanksgiving so i dont want to not enjoy christmas meals too... i am ok on the dinner... i usually make my own so i can make it healthy and eat smaller portions of any thing else but i may want to indulge in the deserts. what are you planning to do and will you log it?

I am extremely bad at restricting myself from food. I can never say "no, you can't eat that". Instead, I just try to make healthier choices for the most part, and if I want to indulge in a "bad" food, I just have a little bit of it. I know at Christmas, I will eat way more than I need to. I am going to try eating smaller portions so I can enjoy everything, but I think I am going to compensate the extra food by working out more. If I work out more, I won't feel as bad about eating all that extra food. I am also going to try to drink a bunch of water before I sit down to eat so I feel more full. My biggest problem is the grazing I do all day when the food is left out. Yikes.
  • Just do your best. If you don't eat what you want, at least in small portions, you will feel deprived and then eat more later. And definitely log it. It's not the end of the world and you will find out you are not the only one. You will get a lot of support. Then the 26th is a new day and get back at it. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

I'm going to eat it all and then maybe go back for seconds. The day after I'll go back to my regular routine and if I have to do some damage control the so be it. Holiday meals are rare so I'm going to enjoy them. I just wish I could get Thanksgiving moved to the middle of the Summer so they'd be spaced out a little more lol.
