So I am sure we have all been witnesses to these moments, (hopefully not the cause of the moment) so.. I HAD to share.

I have a friend, who is not the brightest crayon in the box. She also smokes cigarettes. She was standing next to me and, with the most serious look on her face, asked me how many calories are in cigarettes.

Anyone want to invest in a company that sells cigarettes labelled 'diet' on them? I mean, she couldn't be the only one right.

Diet cigarettes and Fat-free, No carb, Low calorie water. Any takers?

    HA HA HA HA! Sounds ridiculous, but I bet if tobacco companies were to stick the word "diet" on certain products, they would probably notices sales rising on those products.

    I think you could stick the word diet on anything and have it sell... even diet cars. lol.

    Moments like these, I would have been tempted to say each cigarette has a thousand calories just to freak them out. "That's why your appetite is suppressed, because so many calories come from smoking! :wink: "

    "According to a recent study in the American Journal of Public Health, studies show that girls who smoke 10 cigarettes per day or more have a higher risk of belly fat than that of non smokers."

    I have a feeling that would get her to quit in a heartbeat, so it is worth a shot...
    But seriously who cares about calories when they are just awful for everything else! Least of your worries.

    Mmm. Diet Marlboro. Marlboro Zero...that wouldn't even put a dent in my daily calorie intake on MFP.

    That's a new one! Not really surprised though because I've heard of people being worried about the calories in lip balm and toothpaste before.

    I probably would have told her they were 15 calories each. :tongue:

    Yea, I don't know... maybe because of the flavor/sweetness? I would be more worried about what would happen if you don't use it!

    that is seriously funny.. you should have told her there are about 100 calories a puff so it is better to try to finish the cigerette in one drag just to see if she would do it.

    You may want to mention the calories in air, apparantly the fresher the air the lower the calories. In fact Alaska are selling diet air available in time for Christmas!!!
