Sick of putting it off

So basically since October I've been saying "well the new year is right around the corner so I will get on track with diet and exercise then" but I am sick of that mentality. I've also pulled the good old "okay...on Monday I'll start dieting." Why wait? Why gain more only to have to lose more? Today marks a new beginning for me. I'm going to hold my head high and put my health higher up on my priority list.

I am coming from the same place. Worked hard all year and just woke up one morning with so many self doubts and frustrations, I decided to take a couple weeks off. so for two weeks I didn't care what outlandish thing I did to wreck the steps I achieved. But it occurred to me I will have to work twice as hard to retake those goals I had already gained.. .. .. Had a "get right with Jesus, I mean MFP" meeting last weekend and Monday morning woke up to get back on the wagon and DO IT..... This is my third day. Happy with the decision. I wont miss the heartburn at night, the dry mouth I get after eating sweets, the weight I feel on my upper chest and throat when I overeat... Good Luck to you.0

I totally hear ya! But once you get the ball rolling and your head on straight, your diet becomes a life of its own! Just joined this site myself and looking for company to share our successes together along the way. If you or anyone out there is interested, please add me!
Have fun with the progress about to take place!

I agree I have a friend who keeps telling me just start on monday because its the start of the week or just start on the 1st. Why should I wait because if I just do that it means that I really don't care if I do it or not. Start it now and hold yourself responsible for it. I started it on the 10th of this month and I am not going to hold off on it because of the stupid holidays. I need it now so I am starting it. And good for you that you are going to just start it now.0
