Have you seen the ad here at the top of the page? Anyone try them or know more about them??

I can't imagine they could taste good... but the idea of calorie free pasta fascinates me and makes me want to try them!

  • I have not myself tried them, but I have read lots of reviews on them and apparently they taste awful. A better and cheaper choice for healthier noodles is to make them out of squash. You can make lasagna noodles out of zuchini, spaghetti noodles out of spaghetti squash, and I use eggplant alot with any type of tomato sauce dish.

.66 cents per serving plus shipping and handling? eeeeek! that's 81 cents per serving! 81 cents pays for 3 people to eat pasta in my house. I'll take the real stuff, thanks

And how do you do this?

Thanks guys.... I did a little research too and found many reviews saying they taste fishy and have a rubber-band like texture. I also learned I may be able to find some in the Asian section of my local grocery store- so I will look there. I don't want to buy them in bulk and/or pay an arm and a leg to try them, especially when there's a good chance I may not like them at all!

I have a recipe for lasagna and instead of noodles I use zucchini. It take a zuc. and cut it into thin strips. I then saute (little oil) it in a frying pan to get rid of the excess water. Here is a recipe that I found on allrecipes.com (it is a great site)

You can google 'cooking spaghetti squash' and it will tell you. Spaghetti squash usually has a sticker on it that tells you how to cook it. I will have cooked spaghetti squash with some lean meatballs, spagetti sauce and parmesan cheese on top.

Both zucchini lasagne and spaghetti squash are favorites in my house

I love using spaghetti squash instead of noodles and the nutritional value has to beat any other pasta. To make my spaghetti even better I cook it in the microwave with various italian seasonings, garlic, and onion powder. Then I add the sauce on the top. Yum - we're having that for dinner tonight.
