I'm thinking of getting a heart rate monitor and calorie counter! Which one would you recommend? I only would like to spend around 100 dollars or less! Thanks so much for your help!

I'm getting the Polar FT7 for Christmas. I can't wait! It was about $80.

If you're looking for one that can decently estimate calories burned, you NEED one with a chest strap. Not the one suggested in that groupon link. They make it sound like 'strapless' is a good thing, but it's really not if you're looking for calorie estimation.

I have a Polar FT4 for myself (I bought it at Target for $90 but it's cheaper than that on Amazon) and I got a Polar FT7 for my husband (also probably under $100 on Amazon if I had to guess). They have the chest strap so that they can monitor your heartrate continuously.

I was thinking of this too, especially with boxing day sales going on soon! Looking like the Polar FT7 is the way to go....
