I really want to love fruit!

So basically my fruit intake is... NONE. EVER. I don't have fruit, but I never crave it and I just feel like it is never filling or satisfying. I'm sure if I added fruit in place of a few things it would help. Any ideas of how to get started?

I love fruit and eat it as a snack all the time! You could try adding it to things like cereal or oatmeal...bananas, apples, and berries are awesome for that. Have it as a side with your meal or as dessert. Like maybe grilled chicken green beans and some orange slices with a side salad...or put it on your salad with some sort of nuts...walnuts, peanuts or seeds. Try some strawberries with sugar free or low fat cool whip and low fat or sugar free angel food cake for some yummy strawberry short cake! make a cup of yogurt granola mix...layer berries, yogurt, and granola and eat it with a spoon......make a natural smoothie! Banana, strawberries and ice..you could add a little yogurt or low cal juice to it to change it up....hope that helps!0

Totally understand. Never been a sweets person & fruit falls into that catergory. I eat pineapple with cottage cheese, salt & pepper. Just started eating red pears, they're pretty good. Sliced bananas with a little peanut butter in between, Strawberries and fat free cool whip, apple slices dipped in peanut butter, strawberries on frozen waffles. That's all I got. Love vegetables.0

Maybe this is a SA thing, but I love the taste of cooked apples and cinnamon so I often include it as a warm, satisfying dessert on a cold winter's evening or if I just need some comfort food. (Granny smith apple chopped in chunks and boiled until just tender in a little water. Add a little natural sweetener - if desired - and vanilla essence and cinnamon.)
And yes - add it to other foods as much as possible. Most any fruit in a green salad with feta cheese and/or nuts (mmm... pecan!) is yummy.0
