I'm new to the site, but not the App

I've been using the app for a little while and its been helpful (until I got into a slump of not recording some things!)

Today I weighed myself and the two pounds I lost came back!!!! So I'm kicking myself into gear and decided to come on here for some motivation.

I need to exercise more (I used to do Jillian Michael's 30-day shred) and I need to cut my carbs like CRAZY. they make up probably 60-70% of my calories! I loooove me some toast! :P

I'm trying to lose 40 lbs and possibly more after that.

In the last week of Jan I am going to visit my boyfriend's family for the first time, and I want to make a good first impression. How many pounds should I hope to lose in a month?
