Please Choose A. B, or C as a solution to the following senario
Senario:
Meal plan for the day means to reach just 50cal under 1200cal limit must eat the pea and feta salad that was planned for dinner
Complication:
Do not feel the slightest bit of hunger and its already 6pm
Possible resolutions:
A Wait until I actually am hungry at 9pm tonight?
B: Skip dinner?
C: Eat it in the next hour anyway even though I don´t feel that I really need it?

To be honest... all of your options could be the entire MFP's member listing debate because some will go with A, B OR C.... and each other would have a debate about how one is more important over the other.... some will be helpful while others will be ..hmmm 'passionate' about it.
Honestly... its a decision only you can make based on the food diary you have kept and only you know how your body acts and reacts to any of those options....0 -
Personally, I'd go with A.0

Perhaps I should eat it on the basis that it is delicious. How much does 350 cal mean in the context of one day? like - 1/10 of a kg? But also! 1/10 of a kg!!!!0

I actually dont know how my body responds to these options. Most of the time I guess I wouldnt eat - but I always tend to watch what I eat for a week or two weeks and then the cravings come and i eat half a pizza or this or that and then it takes me a full week to get back to it.
So maybe skipping the meal like I usually do is the cause of my problems!0 -

A single day by itself has no bearing on your long term success. If you aren't hungry and won't be before you go to bed, don't eat. If you do get hungry later, eat something. In general, try to be as close to your calorie goal as possible, but being under or over once in a while won't hurt anything.0 -

Well, based on this response, then you do know how your body acts and reacts if you 'most of the time' you guess you wouldnt eat, and then state you will watch what you eat for 1 to 2 weeks, you have noticed cravings.... so... you really do know... I dont think you have come to realize it..
About the only time Im skipping a meal is because Im either sleeping in from a late night close, sick as a dog and can barely get chicken stock down, or we are getting so slammed at work that I cant get a meal break in.... but the rest of those days, I am consuming about 1000-1100 calories which was approved by my physicians on my individual medical circumstances....0 -
i go with a!!0

Agree ;-)
I would also go with A0 -
I'd probably go with A and see if I felt hungry later. If I didn't then I'd probably skip it.0

do what you want.0

Either A or save the salad for tomorrow and enjoy a treat!0

D. If missing a meal does not make you tired, grumpy or any other sign of low blood sugar then missing one meal isn't the end of the world. If you consistently miss your nutritional goals THEN it's a problem; if you know you'll be hungry @ 9p then enjoy it then... if not, oh well0 -
Eat when you are hungry no matter what time it is. As long as it is healthy and a portion just big enough to stop your hunger, it won't make you gain weight because you ate too late. You gain weight when you regularly eat a lot of carbs shortly before going to bed.0

Hey thanks! I read a lot about not eating late but I didnt realise that it was mostly refering to eating carbs0 -

I go with A.
Eat when you're hungry. Why force yourself to eat right now simply because it is a certain time? Your body doesn't know what time it is - so, feed it when its hungry.0 -
wait til later when you are hungry0

I eat carbs all day, all night, all the time.
I've lost 60lbs and maintained that loss for over a year.
Unless you have a medical condition, carbs are NOT the root of all evil and they won't make you gain weight. Overeating makes you gain weight. Calories in - calories out.
Every single night I eat right before I go to bed (last night it was a bagel and some cream cheese) and I would say out of a week, 5 of those days I eat carbs right before bed.0
