losing weight slowly?

Here goes another month that feels like I wasted it.
I have did well, stuck to my health plan, drank my water and really watched everything that went into my body, and I have only lost 2 lbs this month so far. It is pretty irritating. I lose weight really slowly.
Does anybody else have this problem?
It’s taken me a REALLY long time to lost my first 20(ish) lbs.
Perhaps in 50 years, I will eventually meet my goals? Grrrrrr

They do say losing slowly is the best way to go... But I do understand where you are coming from... It's taken for ever for me to kick start my weight loss... As you know everyone's body reacts different... So maybe you should try switching up your diet or your workout routine... For myself I've been watching my carbs/sugars... Not cutting them out completely, just monitoring them with portion control and it seems to be helping me... Believe me when I say I love my breads, pasta, rice and sweets!!! LOL... I've also decided that I want to concentrate on lifting more weights in 2012.. I'm going to buy the book called New Rules of Lifting For Women.. I've read a lot of great reviews on it from women using this site...
Stay positive and focused!! We'll reach our goals in no time... It's a life style change... I have to keep reminding myself that.. ...0 -
Maybe share your diary (make it public) and we can comment on your food. What is your exercise routine? You said you already lost 20lbs, correct? Maybe you hit a plateau?0

Be sure to take photos every few weeks. Sometimes the changes on the scale aren't in line with the changes to body composition.
I remember seeing a blog posted on here that I can't find right now, where the girl weighed about 160# and stayed at that exact same weight, through a series of photos were she continually got smaller and smaller and smaller. It was really eye opening on what a bad judge of health and fitness the scale really is.0 -
I hear ya-- I've only been losing about half a pound a month myself. But if I stick with it, at this rate, I'll be at 110 by this time next year, which is pretty good.0

I know how you feel. I started out losing up to 5lbs a week, but with 55lbs gone my weight loss has slowed way down. I have lost 1.4lbs a week for the last two weeks. I feel like I'm wasting my time but then I remember a few things. 1: I didn't gain weight. 2: I lost SOMETHING. 3: The weight did not get here in one day, and it will not leave in one day. Good Luck!0

I started working out October, 2011. I've lost maybe 3 pounds. VERY discouraging. BUT, I am losing inches. In fact, I got my first NSV the other day. Someone at work said "How much have you lost?" I said "The scale isn't budging." He said "You look FANTASTIC - you're doing something right." (It's amazing how such a compliment can have you walking on a cloud for awhile.)
Hang in there!0
