Polar ft4 HRM accurate?

I had an el cheapo walmart HRM. I decided to buy and try out today a polar ft4. The calories burned is extremely high compared to my old HRM. I jogged for 41 min and it said I burned 445 calories !!! I was shocked since my old HRM always showed about half of that amount. Does anyone think that sounds right? I have read nothing but good reviews about polar, If it's correct it sure makes me feel much better about my workouts

Sounds about right to me. Hard cardio burns about 10 calories a minute.0

Yep I have the Polar FT4 and I usually burn 100 cals per every 10 mins, give or take. Id say it is accurate0

Sounds good to me. A rough estimate is you usually burn 100 cals a mile give or take with how fast you are running!0
