Lyme Disease impact on weigh loss?

I have been losing weight successfully for a number of months now, but over the past few weeks have plateaued even though I'm always under the calorie target. I have been taking pain meds and now starting doxycycline in that infectious disease MD suspects my symptoms indicate either Lyme disease or something similar. Could it be the pain meds that are preventing weight loss? It's very frustrating to not lose weight while I continue to meet my goals.

    I have had Lyme this year also, still not over it. From what I understand it stresses the adrenal system, and can cause Thyroid issues. I have had sudden weight gain and thyroid problems. Found 3 small nodes in my thyroid. See the Dr. after the holiday.
    Had the radioactive iodine scan, no cancer, ( thank you Jesus) but will have to see Dr. and folow up ultrasound in 3 months.

    Complicated issue, and few Doctors who will take it seriously.
