Getting serious this new year

I was doing so well. I've lost 70 lbs. total (since January 2011; joined MFP in March making my total losses here 53 lbs.).

Then, in September, I got married. I don't know what happened. My wedding came and I didn't feel exactly like my motivation was gone, but my scale says otherwise. Hell, my diary-- which is now private-- says otherwise. It's like i'm losing .025% of my motivation every week. Barely noticeable at first, but after a while-- it adds up fast.

I still haven't missed a day of logging here at MFP. I know I have made lasting changes to my lifestyle. I don't eat fast food like I once did, I give up most bread and pasta and try to watch my sugar intake (although with this darn holiday, that has gone to crap).

However, I've weighed the same since September now. I'm maintaining (minus a few lbs. that fluctuates here and there), but not losing.

I'm ready to lose again, and I'm looking to add more friends who are in the same boat. People who are ready to be healthy with me even if they've sputtered out temporarily. I'd like to lose 90 lbs. in the year 2012. Wait-- I'd like to? No. I'm going to. I started off well and it's time for me to dazzle once again. I'm going to publicize my diary again after Christmas. This will be a big step for me.

Who's with me?!

Send me some friend requests. Let's motivate each other this 2012!!! WE CAN DO IT!

I'm in. I always say I'm going to start and then the motivation just dissipates. But I REALLY need to start this whole weight loss/fitness thing. January 1st will be a new beginning.

I agree! I joined a gym and started a nutrition program at the begining of December to avoid the New Year's rush, but these christmas cookies are killing me! I need to make some lasting changes and consistent MFP diaries in 2012. I worked really hard in college to lose about 25 pounds, now I need to get inspired to lose 50 :)
