Hey There!
It's funny, I know what I need to eat and what excersise to do, but having 3 kids really makes it hard to stick to it and acheive the goals.
Anyone else feel the same way?

I feel exactly as you do. I have the worst time trying to stay on track because I don't want to deprive my kids of all the fun stuff to eat like ice cream and pizza. I had two c-sections and I find it very difficult to take off the weight even when I am doing my best.0

It was much harder sticking to a fitness routine when my kids were younger but it is getting easier. My husband and I found a gym that has excellent childcare and that makes a huge difference. They even have a kidz cardio class for them so they get to exercise too.0

I have birthed 3 children but I am mommy to 6! It was really hard to get started.... But I have to remind myself I am doing this for them too... they are learning nutrition in school and I need to follow up at home... they are not deprived of pizza or ice cream but we don't get to have it all the time and I don't eat it even if they get it. Its harder even more so when you think of not eating pizza and ice cream as a deprivation... if you really want it work it into your calories for the day.... YOU CAN DO IT! Don't let your kids be the excuse you don't but the REASON YOU DO!!! :happy:0

I don't want my kids to grow up with the same weight problems I have. So I don't think I'm doing them any favors buying a lot of junk food and taking them out for fast food all the time. Just because it's not making them fat now doesn't mean it won't. After all, my dh was a toothpick when I met him at 23 but he's morbidly obese now. And eating crap all the time as a kid is a large contributing factor to that!
The kids don't seem to mind the limited junk food. They are as happy to toast a bagel as to eat a bag of chips and I buy a lot of fruit and they love that. They do get annoyed that I won't take them to McDonalds a couple of times a week. But they'll live. :laugh:0 -
Think of the healthy habits you are teaching your kids!
Mine would rather eat an apple than a cookie (I know, I've offered them either or and they almost always choose the fruit). And my 3 year old loves to imitate me on my exercises (she looks really cute trying to do the yoga "tree" pose) so I know I'm teaching them good values.
I have two kids in diapers, work 2 jobs and go to grad school...it's hard finding time to workout but you do what you can when you can.
I know its super hard but you can do it!0 -
