NSV - xmas spent differently

Just have to share these NSV.
Before the weekend I decided not to log the holidays and not to feel obligated to exercise. A weekend of sloth would be nice after 2 months of hard work, right?
The 24th I put on a skirt and top I haven't managed to wear since 5-6 years ago. Back then I had managed to loose a bunch of weight over a 1 year period down to ~90kg. Also, I got 2kg handweights and a Polar FT4 HRM from my husband so I just *had* to test those out by doing lvl 1 of 30day shred.
on the 25th I decided I had to test the new HRM against EA sports active 2 HRM and when I finished 1 run of that, the difference was so big I had to try again - so a total of 1.5 hours of workout!
Then finally, today - the last day of sloth as it was supposed to be - I decided to go out to jog. The weather was so nice, and no ice on the ground. 30 minutes later I came back from that, and did EA sports and lvl 1 of 30ds in addition - since I was feeling so good!
Every single christmas of my life has been spent under a blanket, with a bowl of clementines next to me, reading a new book. This christmas I did spend quite some time under said blanket with a book - but I also worked out! I would never have thought I would do that. So a big change for me!
The food portions were smaller too, so I really feel good about myself. I really believe I am changing my life for good now

How do you like the Polar FT4? I've been thinking about getting one. I have never used a HRM and I question the chest strap (position & comfort) cause i am so chesty lol :blushing:
Thank you for any feed back on the FT4

i like the FT4. Has all the basics one could need (alarm, clock, HRM and calories at end of exercise) and can access the data afterwards as well. It is easy to set up and I dont notice the chest strap at all. Bit odd at first to wear the watch, but that's because I normally don't wear one and I'm sure I'll get used to it.0

I have always spent my Christmas Eve sitting around snacking and watching movies with my family and my Christmas doing the same thing and finishing it all of with a big dinner. This Christmas Eve I walked for 1 hr and did strength training for another 1 hr and while I did watch a movie with my family, the only thing I had was some plain candy cane tea (0 cals!). Christmas day I went on a 7 mi walk and did resistance training. i also stayed under my calories both days. I can't describe how proud I was of myself. Instead of using the holidays as a license to eat, I stayed healthy.0

I'm not a girl but the chest straps are quite comfortable. The strap is supposed to be positioned under your boobs/moobs and the actual module goes directly in the center. I doubt you will have much trouble with it.0
