    I got an Avenged Sevenfold hoodie that doesn't fit, which is kind of depressing but since I'm losing weight, it doesn't bother me too bad. Two Monster High dolls to add to the collection, two Baby Bullet food processors that we've wanted (we're debating returning one because they both have food containers we can use and the spare bullet will come in handy if the other one busts), $50.00 cash, $50.00 to JCpenny's, A Buffalo Wild Wings gift card, a nice shirt/pants.

    I'm honestly disappointed. I'm grateful for what they did get me, but it feels more slapped together than the gifts I received last year. I don't really like clothes shopping, my taste is jeans and t-shirts. And the nice shirt is something my grandmother gave me, but the way it's made seems like something a woman more...uh...her age... would wear.

    That's grandmas for you - my grandma and I had the same taste in jewelry - I loved everything she ever got me and inherited several pieces of her jewelry - but our taste in clothing was very different. I only ever wore the clothes she got me when I knew I'd see her.

    I got a Brita Water pitcher which I wanted so I could save money on bottles of water (our city water sucks bad!)
    I also got 2 Mizzou Sweatshirts that I asked for and when I put them on they were way too big so I also got a NSV as well!

    A big fat nothin.

    My mom has been in the hospital for three weeks, so we've postponed Christmas until she comes home. My boyfriend has been in Colorado for two weeks. And my friends are all broke. Yep. Kinda sucked.

    HOWEVER....Let me focus on the good things....

    My mom is in the hospital, but she's getting better.
    I'm in a new relationship and couldn't be happier.
    I have a plenitude of amazing friends, whom I love very much.
    I had a wonderfully delicious dinner at a friend's house yesterday.
    I'm all alone in the office today, so I haven't had to deal with any stupidity.
    Boyfriend comes home in less than 48 hours.
    I *will* have Christmas with the fam soon.
    I have a wedding to go to on Saturday night (NEW YEAR'S EVE) and I can't wait!!!

    A wonderful Christmas with a loving family!! :) It was one to remember for sure! :heart:

    My favorite material gifts were my Nike Air Max + running shoes and my Kindle Fire. Yeah, I'm feeling pretty lucky. :bigsmile:

    I got a variety of items as most did, including some new PS3 games and clothes ... but a couple of items that I'm really excited about are a NuWave oven ... haven't tried it yet but really itching to ... and this really cool electronic food scale that my wife found for me.

    It not only weighs your food (obviously), but it has over 2000 common food items pre-programmed into it. When you weigh one of those food items, if you enter the 4-digit code for it (which is listed in a booklet that comes with the scale), it not only displays the weight but also the full nutritional information including calories, carbs, protein, etc.

    I was just randomly weighing various fruits and other items just playing with it! :happy:

    some new pants (mine are falling off)

    new travel coffee mug with rhinestones
    bath & body works
    sewing stuff (my current hobby)

    My favorite was that my husband had my parents watch the kids and he ran a mile with me. I've not run a mile without stopping since junior high, and it was this huge mental hang up that I had, that there was no way I could ever run nonstop. So he took the time to be my running buddy on Chrismas Day. It meant a lot to me, that he cared enough to help me achieve my goal.

    My OH got me a Trollbead box to hold my bracelet, the new Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall cook book and an extra memory card for my netbook.
    From his family I got a beautiful art deco style mirror, a new duvet and the book A History of the World in 100 Objects. And from my neice & nephew I get a really cute bag.

    Basicly I made out like a bandit!:bigsmile:
