Looking to eat cleanER and lowER carbs for the new year. Anyone have food suggestions?
(or open diaries I can look at?)
Not looking to cut carbs out completely... or make them REALLY low. Just something I need to work on.

Set them to 30% and see how your body reacts.
I have a group of friends who have just swapped out all but 1 simple carb for complex carbs.
I'm a huge advocate for steel cut oats!
A good snack are Fig Newtons Thins.
For lunch I love eating Green Giant steamfresh vegs.
you can look back at my diary but I'd recommend going back to july and august when I was cutting cals.
I'm on a bulk cycle right now and my food consumption is sky high.
though...you could get some pointers from it now I guess.
Just omit the junk!

A few things... White meat such as Chicken, Tuna/fish turkey
You will also need to get your fats higher as your body will start using this to burn as an energy source. So nuts, especially almonds and macadamias( expensive but soo good)
You will be quite limited... However I eat super low carbs, you may not want to go as low as me0 -
IMO it's not about to eat or not to eat carbs, it's about what KIND you eat! I just finished competing in a figure comp and ate sweet potatoes and oatmel 6 times a day! If you keep your carbs clean, that is the key. This is what worked for me
p.s. I still continue to eat these clean carbs, not just for comp prep0 -
I would love to eat cleaner and lower carbs as well. I have done the South Beach Diet before and I really saw the lbs fall off. I don't want to go to that extreme again, but I would love to see what other have to say about this! Friend me if you have suggestions!0

I eat pretty clean (mostly home cooked meals no boxed food) but I do not eat low carb- it makes me feel nauseous, my body needs carbs. My diary is open but ignore the bad eating in the past week or so- holidays got the better of me!0
