Something is out of whack or i have the BMR of a dead plant! I am mid-60s and overweight. I do spin classes 6 days per week and elliptical on 3. My average caloric intake is about 1500 cal/ day and I CANNOT LOSE ANY WEIGHT!! What the #@%& is wrong with this fat picture?

Have you done a BMR calculator to find out what your BMR is (approx.)? You could try 1200 cal a day and see if you lose.0

As a male of your age, I would NOT set your calorie goal any lower than where it is. It is important for your health that you receive adequate nutrition. Your weight loss may be slow, because yes, your metabolism has slowed and you've lost muscle mass as you've aged.
