I like the messy updo. It will show off the beautiful back.
I couldn't find the glam pony.

I had to post the link for it. it wont show up, i think because it's a GIF file... or because its protected somehow. so you have to copy and paste the link. it's a photo of a gown, but i love the way the model's hair is styled.

a gorgeous dress deserves gorgeous hair! I think you should do an updo of some sort to show off your back and shoulders. My advise is to take all the pictures to your hair dresser and have her try them out. Wear a halter top so you get the "visual" of your strapless dress.

Your hair is really long, so you have lots of options! Have fun! You are going to look fabulous no matter what! :flowerforyou:

i think #4 would only work if your long hair ends well above the begining of your beautiful dress.
same w/ the ponys.

if u have a naturally beautiful back & u would not mind showing it off:bigsmile: , i'd go w/ the updo.

no matter which wonderful hair style u choose, u will look stunning beyound imagination! :noway: :noway: :noway: :noway: :noway:
    model perfect!:flowerforyou:

I say #2 the messy up do! Your dress has a lot going on and to add a head ful of curls with your long hair will be way too much. And it looks too fixed and too prom like. Loose and not so fixed will look great with such a fancy dress.

Besides...when you go to get your hair done, your hair probably won't turn out exactly how the picture looks for the last one. Your curls will end up being crunchy with products so that it will last throughout your wedding night...and it still won't last.

The up do is sexy, loose, in style, and sophisticated. Plus it will be more secure for such an important day! It is definately the way to go!

oh yeah, glam pony is amazing! My only corcern with #4 is that if all of the drama is in the back then you wont see it in most pictures, some of my clients have complained about that in the past.

    goooood point CK!

    very good point....

    couldn't see the glam pony

when my hair is curled and back it would end around the top of the back of the dress. Curling it really takes away a lot of length. That's actually why I'm not sure about number 4. I think it might take away from the dress a little. I don't think the ponytail would though. thanks for the thoughts!

    glam pony isnt on there...

soooo, i think with your dress and looooong hair, option 4 might do the trick. i think the messy updo is cute, but i think it might drive you insane.

Agreed. I love #4 the best, #2 is my second choice.
I think side pony looks too simplistic.

Since so many can't see the glam pony I am going to search around and see if I can find something similar to it to show you guys.

If you did the side pony - you could still use a nice clip like on the link you shared

also - remember if you want the pony on the side that's facing your guests or not when you are standing on the alter looking into your hunny's eyes

Are you wearing a veil? This is a HUGE factor when deciding on a hair do. I do love the last option though. With your long beautiful hair and dress it will look amazing!!

as a former looooong haired girl, I vote for the updo. long curls are beautiful, but after a night of dancing, all the product and your own perspiration, the hair under the back of your neck will be a big yucky matted mess. maybe your hair might not be the same as mine, but every time I ever tried to have long curls hanging down my back, at the end of the night I had a nest of snarled lambswool under the back of my neck. only lots of detangler and patience can unsnarl it.
an updo will show off your back, and keep the hair off your neck and be the most secure. also will not detract from your very beautifull dress!

In the end, go with the one that makes you feel the most confident, because that confidence will shine on your face. I agree with the idea of trying the different ones out, to see how your hair looks in each style.

I also think the side pony will become an irritant, although it looks very pretty.

I mentioned in the OP- no veil. Possibly a flower or pretty hairclip.

ugh, I looked everywhere, can't find anything similar to the glam pony. gotta use the link I guess. I found another cute side pony though! a little fancier:

lol! and it doesn't work either. I give up!

    Number THREE! Go glam, girl!

I agree about the side pony getting in the way and covering too much of your face. Whatever you do, it's worth it to pay for a practice run with your hairdresser. Do it on a date night or something so you don't feel like you wasted the money and just have her change it up a bit before you go so as not to ruin the surprise. Take lots of pics at the trial run so you can look back at them a week later and make sure it's what you want!

You're going to look gorgeous with which ever one you go with!!!!

a thought about using flowers in your hair(if you go that direction): pick a sturdy type of bloom. roses wilt very quickly when so close to your body heat, a thicker petal will withstand this better. stargazer lilies are sturdy and thick. any flower whose petals are thin, like a rose, will wilt fast and look droopy. not the look you want in your photos.

I chose the #2, I've done many wedding styles and the loose updo is so gorgeous. and it will show off your gown perfectly. get that trial style and try out many ways. you'll be happy you did. I always did that for my clients, I never even thought about charging them for it, wow, I just felt it was so necesary that It was part of the price. (but then again, that was 15yrs ago and I only charged $50.00 How time has changed, I bet its over $100 now? )
Remember to check your makeup often during your big day and before your pictures. something I forgot to do and I was very disappointed. maybe even remind your photographer too remind you, they are the ones looking at you and will notice if you need more lipstick or your face is shiney. tell them to tell you.!!!!!

Love the Glam Pony! I bet your fiancee would vote for anything that shows off that long flowing hair when you are coming down the aisle.

I would talk to your hairdresser though to see if it can be styled in such a way that you can clip it up off your neck easily for the reception - kind of the hair equivalent of tucking up your train.
