I leave in one week for Disney to run a half and full marathon. Today I woke up with a sore throat and stuffy nose. I'm freaking out I can't be sick this week! Advice anyone?

Anything with zinc in it might help your cold symptoms - there are all sorts of zinc-related items at your local Kmart/WalMart/Target.

Gargle with salt water a few times a day for your throat. You can also gargle with hydrogen peroxide (50/50 with water), as that will help with any germs. DRINK LOTS OF FLUIDS - tea, water, orange juice. Up your Vitamin C, and rest as much as possible.

In a week? You should be FINE!

Animal kingdom lodge 1 bedroom villa it's our first time at this resort.
Vitamin C I have and took I'll have to have my hubby pick up some tea. Wish I could rest rest but I have 12 daycare kids plus 6 neighbor kids playing with my kids. It's a zoo at my house!

First night we're staying in Clearwater for a rest day at the beach.

I've always heard zinc works well.

I got sick last week. Horrible head cold/sore throat. If it's similar, it will pass in a few days. Just get plenty of fluids and rest.

The pop is where we usually stay when it's just the two of us! Love the theme! We got a good pin code so we splurged. Are you running during marathon weekend?

Call your Dr!!!! My GP is a runner so he understands... Believe it or not, he says its pretty common to get sick in the later part of long race training.
    Good Luck to you!
