Really interesting article from NYTimes.com about weight loss. What do you think?

Seen this three times today, and my answer is still the same: it's a virtually useless study. Putting a very small group of obese people on a regimented 500-calorie diet and finding that they gained some of the weight back only proves that obese people on a 500-calorie diet will probably gain some of the weight back. It's meaningless.0

It seems like all the people they talked to about how they lost weight and kept it off were all older women. Most people know that it is much harder for older people, especially women over 40, to lose and maintain weight. Now if they had proved this theory with a mix of old and young people then they might have been able to make a valid point. I don't know though I think this was kind of a useless study lol.0
