Same as a watch, only if it's designed to. Check out reviews for consumers experiences with the product in the water too. Some lose signal too easily.0

yes it can, mine just advises me not to press the buttons while under water.0

I have the Polar F6 and wear it in the pool all the time it works great, I know several polar models are waterproof.0

polar f4 works in water and I love mine.0

I have a Polar FT 40 and LOVE it, but I'm not sure if it's waterproof. I'm sure it has something to that effect in the pages and pages of instructions lol0
